To stop Adobe Acrobat Reader opening the PDF files in your browser window, forcing you to click Back on your browser after you have clicked Save a Copy, use the following steps.

• Load Adobe Acrobat Reader
• select Edit then Preferences
• select Internet in the left hand pane
• uncheck Display PDF in Browser

The PDF will now load in Adobe Acrobat Reader in a new window and can be saved from there.

This is also useful if you access password protected PDF's and then click cancel. The PDF will close but Adobe will not, leaving you with a blank screen and guessing what to do next (click on Back button).
